I can remember when the remote control became a popular item in the home. After using it for a while I would find myself clicking that thing, without thinking, at appliances that didn’t even come with a remote. We have become so accustomed to using the remote that when it is lost we will walk right past the stereo or television in order to find the remote to switch channels or turn off the appliance. Now, isn’t that just like creatures of habit? As I type this blog today I realize that we treat our relationship with God in the same manner. We pick Him up when He is needed desperately; otherwise He is tossed to the side and lost without a cause until we need Him. Likewise, we pass by His word (Bible) everyday in order to find a quick fix that may or may not correct our problem. We pass by the Bible looking for ways to get us out of our current situation or circumstance, when all we have to do is stop and pick up the Word which will direct our every path. The answer to all of our problems is right there in front of us, but we will go in every other direction looking for the answer instead of going to the one that is within sight. God is much more than a magic genie, whom you may think will come out when you call him and magically grant you the wishes (desires) of your heart. He is our Creator, our Lifeline, our Father, the Holiest of Holies, the Alpha and Omega and everything in between. He is life and He requires us to know Him on an intimate level, not just when we need to pick Him up and have Him solve a problem. He wants a relationship with you that surpasses any relationship you’ve ever encountered or ever will. Won’t you develop that type of relationship with Him starting today? He’s waiting. Love and Blessings, Lady Monica Jeremiah 29: 12-13 “Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

There are many times when we go about life taking for granted the things that many hold so dear. Thanks to a dear friend, Minister Nathaniel Edwards for reminding us on last week how to be grateful for even the things that we complain about. This day forth let us try to acknowledge the Father in all things and remember that He created the heavens and the earth and everything that is in them. Therefore, everything (creation) has a purpose. Yes, even those bugs that I can’t stand have a purpose each to their own for being a part of this great universe. So, instead of complaining let me accept the fact and be grateful that all things work together for my good. (Sidenote)…I hope the bugs can do all of their work on the outside of the house. All of this is a gentle reminder that someone out there would be happy to have a bug in their house, because they don’t have a house to live in. Someone would be happy to be stuck in traffic because they don’t have a car to drive. Someone would be happy to have the job you complain about because they haven’t been able to find employment to support their family in over 5 years. Remember, true appreciation comes from the heart and not the lips. I am grateful and honored to be able to share this word with you as we learn and grow in love together. Blessings, Lady Monica 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Give thanks in everything, for this is the will of God in Yeshua The Messiah among you.” When a child constantly nags their parents for something it becomes a nuisance, especially when that child is doing nothing in return to warrant a reward or gift. I look at our relationship with Yahweh in that same manner. We are quick to go to the Father always asking for something, yet we are doing nothing in return. Are we praying? I mean really praying without the entire prayer being a list of requisitions. Are we seeking Him? For a relationship and getting to know Him on an intimate level. Are we fasting? Sacrificing to show our longing to be closer to Him. Are we thanking Him? Are we grateful for the things we do have but too often take for granted? Are we worshipping Him? Giving Him praise, honor, glory, love and obedience just because of who He is. What are we giving Him in order that He may reward us for our works? Ask yourself these questions before going before the Father to complain or beg. Let us thank Him for His grace and mercy. Let us be more obedient to His words. Let us not behave as spoiled little children, but obedient ones that deserve His mercy and then maybe in His goodness He will reward us with what He desires for us in His due season. Love and Blessings, Lady Monica James 4:3 - Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume [it] upon your lusts. WE go through life making decisions based upon our own free will. We ignore the teachings and warnings of our parents when we are younger and find ourselves in a predicament stating, “I coulda, woulda, shoulda” listened but now it’s too late. We too often find ourselves doing the same things as adults when we are disobedient to the word of God. He graciously has given us the way to eternal life, the ability to make our own choices and the blueprint (Bible) for living our everyday lives to the fullest; yet we do what we want to do and then complain and cry out when we suffer. How can one continue to be disobedient and think they will not suffer the consequences? Many are quick to speak on the law of attraction or reaping what you sow; well, that applies to every area of our lives whether it is good or evil, right or wrong. What you put out will come back. So, from this day forth let us make an effort to do that which is right and acceptable in His sight that we may reap good fruit instead of the rotten to the core that we’ve picked on our own. Blessings, Lady Monica Galatians 6:7 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.” Many things transpire in life that we totally have no control over. Oftentimes, we sit and think, “What did I do wrong?” “Why is this happening to me?” Sometimes things that happened are not a result of anything that we have done wrong. Take Job for example. When satan and God discussed this noble man it was to let satan know that no matter what He thinks he can do to one of God’s chosen ones that they will remain faithful to God. When the test is complete God will restore to them what was lost and then some. Just remember that whatever you are going through, God is not asleep and is well aware. He wants you to remain faithful and diligent in seeking Him. When the well looks dry and you feel that you are about to die from thirst and dehydration remember that with God ~ He supplies a never ending stream of living water. When you tap into that water source your thirst will be quenched continuously and will always be satisfied. Keep digging, you are almost there! Blessings, Lady Monica Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." The hustle and bustle from everyday life and the events that occur can often leave you in a very challenging place spiritually. No doubt, we all have things that have to be handled on a daily basis, work, family, ministry, etc. and many times these things can leave us spiritually drained. We sometimes, unknowingly become so drained that we begin to even doubt that our Father is speaking to us. It is not that He isn’t speaking to us; the problem is we have too much going on to even distinguish and hear His voice. Have you ever been in a place where everyone is speaking at once and there are other distractions in the room as well? You can’t even focus or hear the one you may be speaking with because of everything and everyone else interfering. Well, this is how it is in our brains and hearts when we desire to speak to God but can’t hear His voice. It’s time to clear the clutter so we can hear His voice distinctly. Let us start cleaning today by limiting our intake of filth and vowing to give Him at least an hour a day of reading the word, prayer and meditating on His goodness. Love and Blessing Lady Monica Romans 12: 1-2 “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Yesterday was the highly decorated and celebrated day to honor our mothers, I wanted to keep that flow going. So, let us start by recognizing what a mother really is. A great example of this is with the first woman in history. In English, we refer to her as Eve. Yet, that is not her Hebrew name and her English translation doesn’t carry with it any of the importance or significance of her real name, Chavah. So what does Chavah (Eve) mean? How does Chavah, the first woman, represent the mother of all life? Through experience as expression and through expression as experience she mothers all life. She shapes and develops formless matter, carrying it within her until it is ready to be born. However, the mothering process does not end with physical birth, for she then continues to nurse this life, feeding and sustaining it physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She continues to nourish it throughout its life, helping to actualize its latent potential and helping this life to develop and experience its utmost expression. And by doing this, she is constantly giving birth to new levels of ability and depth of life experience, both within herself and within all those around her, earning the title “mother of all life.” - By Sara Esther Crispe Therefore, let us remember that not only are we mothers of children, but mothers of all life in itself. We are in a continual cycle of developing, planning, nourishing, sustaining and pushing. The role of a mother is never ending, but the joy of Yahweh choosing us as the vessel of life is even more of an honor. Enjoy being a mother everyday because without God using us appropriately there would be no being fruitful and multiplying. Love and Blessings Today I write to you to encourage you through your pain. You see, I know all too well what it feels like to have it feel as if your heart has been ripped right out of your chest, thrown to the ground and trampled on continuously. You have cried and cried until no more tears fall. You think to yourself, “What have I done?” “Why is this happening to me?” Well, today ask, “Why not?” God’s ways are not our ways and neither are His thoughts like our mere mortal thoughts. He has a purpose for the pain. Maybe, He wants your attention. Maybe, He has taken every person out of your life that you would turn to instead of Him. Maybe, you have begun to idolize a person or thing, unknowingly, and He had to remove them or it to bring you back to the reality of you shall have NO other god before HIM. He takes us through things in order that our strength, character and faith are increased. How can we help someone else through something if we haven’t been there ourselves? When we’ve been there we genuinely understand and can feel what they feel. So, now it is time for the believer to get well. A sick and infected church (YOU) can’t help anyone else. You will only end up infecting those who have come to you for a healing. Today, pick yourself up. Seek the Father for healing of that pain. Yes, He understands and He will heal you, if you let Him. Take yourself totally out of the issue. Stop complaining about my heart, my pain, my aches, they did this to me, they did that. Remove the me, my and I. Give glory to Yahweh and praise His name for in the praise shall come your healing. You will be restored! The pain will vanish! You will now become the victor instead of the victim because you have travailed through the pain you shall now prevail. (Thanks Sis. Annetta Hall.) You shall birth that vision on the inside. God’s will shall be done and you will NOT let the enemy have the last word today or ever! Love and Blessings, Lady Monica 1 Peter 1:6 “So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while.” For us believers, it is very important that we remember where we came from. No, I’m not talking about the genealogy of the cause and who your earthly parents are; but, I’m talking about from the curse of Adam and Eve in the garden. See, we were ALL born into sin no matter whom we are or who our parents are. Some of us grew up in the faith and have been “in the church” all of our lives and some of us didn’t find our way until later in life. The point I want to make now is this. Just because you see another fall or another person battling something does not make them any less likely to see Heaven than you. What are you saying, Lady Monica? I’m saying don’t judge another person by their sin because they sin differently than you do. Gasp….. Yes, we all sin in some form or fashion. We’d be kidding ourselves to say that we don’t. So, now that we are faced with reality what do we do? Instead of condemning others for their struggles we should help them out. And, instead of hiding ours we should confess them to our brothers and sisters in order that we may gain the strength needed to help us, along with God, to overcome them. So, before you start pointing fingers at your brothers and sisters, point that finger at the one facing you in the mirror. We all are in this together therefore, let us rise up together. Love and Blessings, Lady Monica Proverbs 11:30 “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” There are some things that happen in our life that we truly cannot explain. Things that hurt us to the very core of our being and it seems that those things always happen in abundance. Many times those very things tend to drive us into irrational thoughts and behaviors, which we regret. We begin to feel unworthy. My word for you today is God knows every little and big thing about you. He knows your public sins as well as your private sins. The question for you now is, “Are you really sorry?” “Are you repenting with true sincerity?” If you are and have then God will not turn you away. He sees your tears, He sees the pain. He won’t condemn you for your mistake, nor turn you away like so many others would, but instead He will wipe those tears away, heal your pain and clean you up so that you may walk in your God given purpose. The only time that it is too late for you is when you have given up on you. It’s okay that you made a mistake or even mistakes. We all do. But, God is love and mercy and grace and HE extends them to us freely. Surely grace and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives. Our Father is not sitting behind a tree waiting for us to fall so that He can condemn us to hell. He is a God of many chances and all that you have to do is give Him the chance to make a difference in your life. Pick up the pieces and remember that you are blessed to be a blessing to others. Love Always ~ Lady Monica Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” We have always heard that the Bible is the living word, but I am not sure how many of us actually understand what that means. Watching the series “The Bible” over this past 5 weeks has truly been an enlightening experience. The producers actually brought to life many stories in the Bible. If we can now maintain that feeling each time that we read the Bible then it will impact our life in a different way. We must read the Bible as if it is speaking directly to us and apply it as so. The experience that those prophets and apostles went through during the time of the Messiah and before was surreal. They lived and died horrifically for what they believed in. We have no right to complain. We must do better. They left us instructions to follow and what needs to be done as we now have to continue the message. In short, we are the modern day disciples. Now, we each must ask ourselves the question, “Are we willing to live and die for the Messiah the way His true disciples did?” I’m not saying that it will come to that point, but if it does; what will you do? The Messiah died a horrific, excruciating death on that cross for the sins of the world even though He was sinless. At the very time that He was taking His last breath, He felt every emotion anyone could ever feel. He felt alone because that is the one time that Yahweh had to leave Him because our Father simply cannot be a part of any type of sin. But, what was in store for Him and for us outweighed that temporary pain. My word to you is no matter what you may be going through at this time, no matter how painful it may be, as long as you are faithful to God and believe in Him then He will see you through and your reward will outweigh any painful experience that you have had to endure. Be encouraged. Blessings – Lady Monica (Luke 23:46) “ Jesus called out with a loud voice, 'Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.' When he had said this, he breathed his last." As our Messiah was about to encounter the most difficult horrific events in his life He knew that He needed to be alone with the Father. He called for His disciples to go with Him and pray diligently without stopping or sleeping. He needed them to be there for Him like never before, but they failed. He was quite sorrowful and overwhelmed with what was happening in His life. Have you ever been there? He prayed and called out for His disciples, but they were asleep and He found that He was all alone during this time. This story sounds familiar doesn’t it? We’ve all been through our own Gethsemane experience when we have needed our friends or family and find ourselves alone with no one around. That is a very disheartening time when no one seems to care or be available, but God. It is during this Gethsemane experience that we learn to totally rely upon the Father. We draw closer to Him than ever before and He speaks a new breath of life into our very soul. Alone time with God is very important as it allows one to develop spiritual maturity and dependency upon the only one that we should ever depend on, Yahweh. So, as you go through your Gethsemane experience be of good courage and let Daddy minister to the very depth of your soul. You will come out more powerful and refreshed than you were when you entered into that secret garden. Peace, Love and Blessings – Lady Monica READ: “Matthew 26: 36-46” Many people believe that accepting Jesus as the true Messiah and Savior will immediately alleviate all problems they face. Look, acceptance isn’t magic. It’s not rubbing a lamp and a genie appears and grants you three wishes. It is TRUTH…a lifestyle change and assurance of an eternal home with the Creator. If your focus is fame, riches and no problems then you are in for a rude awakening. No, I’m not trying to frighten you nor deter your walk, but I do want you to be informed and not walking in a fog. This place, earth is a temporary home. You don’t believe me? Well, let’s do a self check…do you have anyone close to you that has passed away? Do you know anyone who has passed away? Of course you do, and that proves that our time here is temporary. Now, let’s look at this; we could have all of the money, cars, mansions and fame in the world yet we will not take any of that with us when we depart this life. Our focus should be living our life in a manner that is acceptable and holy to God that we may spend an eternity with Him in peace, without the troubles of this earth. Jesus and all of the prophets of His time endured hardships, but God was with them as He is with us. So on this journey do not be deceived, we will go through but the good news is God goes through with us. Let us focus more on eternity than what is temporary. Today choose to be a blessing to someone else. Share the good news. Blessings – Lady Monica John 16:33 - “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” After watching the first series of The Bible last night, I began to reflect over my life and just how blessed I am. I mean, we are all so very blessed to be living during this day and time. If you take notice, none of the true followers of God had everything laid out on a silver platter for them. They fought hard and had to prove their faithfulness to God and then the blessings came. Why do we feel that we deserve the blessing without putting in the work? We are so spoiled. We have the best of everything. Now, I don’t mean that we are walking around with the latest Bentley or million dollar mansions, but what we have so many others lack. Clean water to drink, clothes on our backs, healthcare, food to eat, a bed to lie on and a roof over our head. Let us take the time to reflect on His goodness today. Let us not complain about what we don’t have but be thankful for what we do have. May I also add that most of the wealthy individuals back in Biblical times were the ones who worshiped their own gods and not the one and only true God and might I mentioned that in the end many were destroyed and their money, gold and false gods couldn't save them. Reflect, be happy, be thankful, praise and have faith in Yahweh. Matthew 6:31-32 “So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear? For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.” As I was driving to work this morning I began to think about all of the times that I have gone over and above to protect or defend my children. I thought about how I felt when someone had treated them unfairly or hurt them in any way. Immediately, as parents we go into the defense mode, ready to attack the infiltrator, this is a normal behavior for a parent. After all, it is our duty to protect them as parents, right? Then I thought about our Father, our Heavenly Father, and Creator of the Universe, our Sovereign Father and how He must be infuriated when someone treats His children inappropriately. He doesn’t require us to do a thing but cry out to Him and He seeks vengeance. He will repay. At that very moment an inner feeling of unlimited peace began to flow throughout my body as I stated; “If God (My DADDY) be for me then WHO can be against me?” What a wonderful promise to stand on. If you need to feel His protection then cry out to the Father today. He is there to shield and protect you as only a loving Father can. Blessings, Lady Monica Exodus 14:14 “The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." |
