Candy Coated Messages

1/21/2014

It’s amazing how when someone is sharing a prosperity message or a God’s going to bless you real good message how receptive everyone is to it; BUT, when someone shares the truth and nothing but  the truth it is perceived as being harsh, judgmental or presumptuous.  Well my brothers and sisters if we want to be totally free then we have to be taught the truth and be able to digest it.

When we were children and fell ill our parents would give us medication.  I can remember that the nastiest, most bitter medicine was what my grandmother told me was the best for me.  I had to get past the foul smell, the bitter taste and stomach it and after a while I was healed.  That’s how the Word of God is.  It is truth that is sometimes painful to the ear and hard to digest, but once we learn it and apply it to our lives we become healed of the emotional scars and lies that we have been bound to.

It is time out for candy coated messages and time to speak and seek truth.  Too many in leadership have spoken candy coated messages for too long; And, do you know what happens when you digest too much sugar?  Eventually you die.  Candy coated messages will cause you to die a spiritual death.

It is time to graduate from the breast milk of infancy and the sweet tooth stage of toddlers.  It is time to eat solid foods that are good for the soul.  The meat may be a little tough to chew and digest at first, but as soon as you learn how to chop it up and chew it slowly the digestion process becomes easier.

My message to you all is “Eat to Live” eternally and don’t always look for the candy coated sermon. There is no healing in improper nourishment.

Love and Blessings ~ Lady Monica

Toxic Relationships

Whether you are male or female we've all been there.  It could be a friendship, a courtship, a work relationship or church connection.  Either way, if it is toxic then you must walk away.  Who could live in a place filled with toxic waste?  Sure,  you could put on some layers of protection and be safe for a while, but eventually it will kill you.

As children of God we will always be plagued by the clone.  Yes, clones.  They look exactly like we want them to, perfect body, they pray with you, they attend church, they have great careers and family life, they have good credit and nice homes, they quote the Bible constantly.  In our eyes, they are perfect.  But, let us remember that the devil was once the most beautiful angel in heaven; and just as we transform into the image of our Father, he transforms into the image of what we seek most.  Did you get that? Be careful and always pray and seek God for wisdom and discernment.  God will always reveal a person's heart and motive, but it is up to you to listen and obey His voice.

Never be ashamed of who and what God has delivered you from. Never let an awakening experience and your obedience to walk away be reflected as negativity, but let it show your total dedication to The Father!

When you recognize who and whose you are you will begin to walk in your royal authority with confidence.

Love and Blessings ~ Lady Monica

Romans 12:2 (ESV)

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

EXCESS BAGGAGE

1/6/2014

On behalf of My Scars Ministry, I would like to extend to you all a very Happy 2104 and thank you for your support, love, prayers, encouragement and donations over the past years.  Truly God is amazing and it is because of you we are able to touch and change so many lives.  God bless.

On this first Monday of 2014 we are going to talk about excess baggage.  First, let me explain to you what baggage is…

1.      personal belongings packed in suitcases for traveling; luggage.

2.      past experiences or long-held ideas regarded as burdens and impediments.
"the emotional baggage I'm hauling around"

Now,  let us imagine that those suitcases holding the excess items we are carrying is our entire physical body,  heart, soul and mind. Therefore, when that load becomes excess we have the tendency to break down just as an ordinary luggage would.  A suitcase will pop if it is overstuffed with items.  In addition to the breakdown and the wear and tear of the excessive loads on your luggage when you arrive at the airport you are charged an extra fee for that excessive baggage.  The fee that we pay is on our physical bodies.  It is called stress, hypertension, possible stroke, heart attack, trust issues, self-pity and after a while the need to give up on life because the load becomes too heavy to carry.

Have you ever arrived at the airport or hotel and you can’t find a concierge service or even a trolley to transport your luggage?  You want to talk about disappointing; because you know without assistance you cannot transport that heavy luggage.

Well, there is good news for you today.  First of all, we need to realize how to start to sort through our luggage and get rid of any unnecessary weight.  Sometimes, we over pack and carry things on to another destination that really aren’t needed.  Then, when we have gotten rid of unnecessary weight we can call up our heavenly Father to help us carry the load that we still have with us.  Once we give HIM that load we will notice that our luggage has suddenly become lighter and more manageable because now we no longer have to try to carry unnecessary, shackled down items with us.  We can give it all to God and He will carry us and the load.

God bless you in this New Year and may your load become God’s load.  Don’t drag that baggage into someone else’s life.  Instead, teach them how to make their load lighter too.

Love and Blessings ~ Lady Monica

Matthew 11:28-30 -  Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Why does it hurt so bad?

Today as I sat and reflected over my life and my own decisions I realized there is one word in this statement that probably has been the factor of many heartaches and pains over the past years of my life.  And that one word is “I”.  What we fail to realize is many things that we allow to hurt us or take up space in our mind and heart is because of our own decisions and choices.  We allow EGO to take over and destroy the voice of the Father to a faint whisper that we continue to ignore.  Many of the things that have hurt us weren’t even supposed to because they were never of God in the first place.  So, the very next time you are sitting around beating yourself up, crying about a rejected love or broken friendship remember that we quite possibly acted out of the will of God concerning that person or thing and caused this pain ourselves.  It is now time to recognize what has happened, pick yourself up, ask our Father for forgiveness of stepping out of His will, give it over to Him and wait patiently on Him until He gives us the go ahead about people and situations in our lives.  Many times while we are heartbroken and torn up that other person is going about their daily routines as if nothing has ever happened. Why? Because we really didn't matter to them anyway, they were a distraction.  We were just an object they needed in a fleeting moment to serve their purpose but mess ours up.  Today is a new day.  Tell yourself these words, “I will break this soul tie and denounce it in the name of Jesus. I will never allow myself to be so caught up in my own EGO that I can’t hear from God.  Today I will seek God for every situation in my life.  Today I know that I am healed and this thing that I’ve been crying over shall no longer be a stumbling block in my walk with God.  Today I declare that I have been set FREE! Now go praise our Father because the BEST is yet to come!

Blessings, Lady Monica

THE SLO FACTOR

11/25/2013

Picture
When you are seeking God for His guidance regarding a situation it is important to use my "SLO" factor. Seek, Listen and Obey.

Diligently SEEKing Him will bring you to a closer more intimate relationship with Him. This will allow you to tune into His voice and direction for your life.

At that point, it is imperative that you LISTEN to His voice. Come out of the flesh and remember you are seeking His will and not your desires.

After you have done these two things the last and most important thing is to OBEY. Once you have been praying and seeking and listening to His voice don't destroy those attributes by being disobedient.

Things may look like they are never going to manifest. Don't you give up! Everything may point to a reason to doubt. Don't you give up! Divine placement at just the right God ordained divine time will cause that person or thing to come into your life to make you realize that everything else didn't work because you didn't seek God first to get them. Take those mishaps as learning tools. You now know how to appreciate the person or thing that God will place into your life. No longer will you chose out of your own flesh things that look good on the outside but aren't good for you. I'm not saying the people of your past are bad people they just weren't good for you.

I'm so glad that I've learned these critical faith producing methods because now I am living in the abundant life that God has promised me. Only God can give you true joy in each area of your life.

Remember, always use Lady Monica's "SLO" factor and watch the changes in your life begin to occur. Love and Blessings.

HAPPY  VETERANS DAY

Today as we honor all of the men and women of the Armed Services who have risked their lives for our freedom, I also honor the true Martyr of one who died that we may live, Yeshua “Jesus Christ.”  He endured a battle unlike any other and I don’t know one man or woman that would lay down their life in such a manner as our Savior.  Sinless, blameless and undeserving of the torture and ridicule that He endured, He suffered it all and died on that cross for you and me.  What a great honor to repay Him today with repenting of your sins and accepting Him into your life as the one and only true Savior.  On this Veterans Day won’t you invite Him into your life so that you may spend an eternity of freedom with Him?  God bless you all and Happy Veterans Day.

TRUST GOD

11/4/2013

I have learned to fully rely on God in every area of my life.  Did it come easy? No. But, God spoke to me one day and said some very profound things. He told me that if I was able to give up everything for things of this world that will always fail me in some way, form or fashion then it was time that I give up everything for Him.   Those life-changing words were spoken to me over 10 years ago and have changed positively changed my entire life and the way that I view trials.  God sent me to an unfamiliar place where I knew absolutely no one to get me to the exact place where He needed me to be.  As long as you are following His will for your life never question where you are, but trust Him to get you to where you are going.  There will be stumbling blocks, distractions and tricks of the enemy to divert you, BUT don’t you give in to temptation or to the lies of the enemy.  In order for you to soar with the Eagles you have to leave the chickens behind.

Disobedient and Disrespectful Children

10/22/2013

Disobedient and disrespectful children really get me heated.  There is nothing more disturbing than watching a child disrespect an adult, especially their own parents,  but in today’s society that seems to be the “in” thing.  Not in my house.!  I was raised by my grandparents where saying words like lie, fart, butt or fool would warrant a whooping. I gasp to hear the things that come out of children nowadays.  Yahweh even listed respecting and honoring your parents as one of the top 10. And, it is the 1st commandment with a promise.  Honor your father and mother that your days may be lengthened on this earth.  So, if it made the top 10 then it has to be important.  Now, let me break this down for you.  We are children of the Creator, right? And, as children He has given us specific rules and guidelines that we must follow, yet we continue to be disobedient and rebellious.  If we want the best for our children and try to shield them from harm and hurtful experiences, why wouldn’t our Heavenly Father do the same for us? When our children are disobedient we often put them on punishment and pray that they have learned a lesson from their bad choices.  Well, the same is true with Yahweh.  When we have sinned we will pay the consequences, but it is His grace that allows us to learn from the experience and do better.  So, the next time things aren’t going as we plan or as we want, remember that we have a Father that loves and corrects us; and in our obedience to Him we shall receive His best for our lives.

Looks can be deceiving

I remember being a little girl and seeing this piece of chocolate candy that I wanted so badly.  My grandmother, whom I affectionately and lovingly call Momma, instructed me that the particular piece of candy that I wanted was not for children and it was for grown- ups.  But, it was a yummy looking little square block of chocolate that I wanted so badly that when she wasn’t looking a sneaked a piece and boy did I pay for it.  It turns out that piece of candy really wasn’t candy at all, but Ex-lax.  Yeah, I know you guys remember that chocolate laxative.  (Laughing out loud).  Needless to say, I learned my lesson and from that point on if Momma said it wasn’t for me, then I didn’t touch it!  Now let’s use that story to compare our Christian life.  We see something that we want and it looks really good to our natural eye, but God tells us no because He sees the consequences of that thing in the future.  He is looking out for what is best for us; yet we often feel like He is keeping something from us, only to go after that thing and suffer horrible consequences.   We see what we want in the natural and BELIEVE it is good.  He sees what we want in the supernatural and KNOWS that it is not good.  Let us try harder to put our complete trust in God no matter what the circumstances because He will withhold no GOOD thing from us.  Remember, everything that looks good is not always good for you.

I love to travel.  Some of the best traveling adventures that I have been on have actually been road trips.  The ones when I don’t have to drive (smiling).  I can just sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery and the various forms of beauty that God has blessed us with.  I can see things that I would not be able to view if I were driving because my focus would be on driving.   Sometimes along the way, you run into detours and road closed signs.  It is my hope that the person driving has a good GPS and we can arrive at the destination with no difficulties.  So, this is how we should look at this road trip called “life.”  We should let God do the driving and just sit back and relax and enjoy each and everything that He has in store for us.  We should be enjoying each place that He takes us to with no worries.  Each place that we visit is there for us to see the beauty within, because sometimes it’s not always visible.  And each road block or detour that occurs should give us time to breathe, stretch and get back on the road with God.  With Him driving we will never get lost.  He is the original GPS device (God Providing Service) and with Him,  there are no mistakes because He knows even before we get there.  So, just sit back and enjoy each place in life that He takes you until you reach that final destination.  “God’s Providing Service” requires no updates you just have to plug into it.

Daddy's Lunchbox

9/23/2013

As a child I was raised by my grandparents. My grandmother was such the epitome of a loving, strong and godly wife.  She would pack my grandfather's lunch every morning in this black tin lunchbox.  So, as a toddler the highlight of my day would be waiting for daddy to arrive home from work with his lunchbox, for in it I knew that he had left me a surprise.  Yes, everyday Monday through Friday I would have a half sandwich and some sort of dessert without fail.  I eagerly awaited that time everyday and waited with expectancy knowing without a doubt that in that lunchbox was something for me.  I give you this analogy to say this is how we should wait on our heavenly Father.  We should be expecting HIM to pull something out of His heavenly lunchbox and bless us because He is just that good.  We should have faith in Him and believe that He will do it and not doubt.  Each day, let us look forward to seeing what Daddy has for us in His lunchbox.

Blessing, Lady Monica

Are you prepared?

I have had to deal with a lot of deaths in this past 2 weeks.  The circle of life is a precious one and each of us who are alive today will ultimately face death.  No matter whom you are, what credentials are in front of or behind your name, who you know or how much money you have, one thing is guaranteed and that is death.  How will you face it? “Jeremiah 1:4” tells us that Yahweh knew us before He formed us in the womb.  He had you and me set apart for a specific purpose.  Now, some walk through life listlessly floating around with no direction never fulfilling their purpose; while there are others who have developed a relationship with The Father and are walking in their purpose.  But, even the purpose has an ending and one day it will come.  When it comes are you prepared? When the Messiah left He informed us that He had gone to prepare a place for us and in His Father’s house there are many mansions. “John 14:2” That right there tells you that this earth is not our permanent home and there is room for you in heaven.  You may not own a mansion here, but one is being prepared even now.  Death used to be a very frightening thing for me to endure.  But, now that I have an intimate and knowledgeable relationship with Yahweh I understand the purpose of life and death.  In life we are to unselfishly work for Him and work to enlarge the Kingdom by love, actions, deeds and spreading the Word.  When we have accepted the Messiah as our savior, confessed our sins and fulfilled our purpose here on this earth, death simply means that our earthly time is now complete and it is time to go to our permanent home with Jesus.  I don’t argue about the existence of heaven or hell.  I simply state the truth that is in the Word.  When you die you will find yourself in perfect peace of eternal damnation.  That choice is yours. But, as for me and my house, “We will serve the Lord” and death no longer frightens me because it is at that point that my real life will truly begin.  Won’t you accept God into your life and recognize Jesus as the Messiah and confess and repent of your sins so that you too may say when death comes your way “I know where I will spend my eternity.”

Love and Blessings,

Lady Monica

Forgiveness

As you grow in faith and your relationship with the Father things become so vivid. A lot has transpired in my life over the past few years, but each has been a learning experience; an opportunity for growth.   Today I want to talk to you about the importance of forgiveness.  We hear over and over again that we must forgive, but only until recently can I tell you that I have experienced the liberation of truly forgiving someone that had wronged me.  In my mind, I really thought that I had forgiven this person, but not until God allowed a particular situation to occur did I realize that from the bottom of my heart I had forgiven them and when I reached out to them in their time of need is when I knew that God had performed a true heart transplant on me.  Giving of yourself freely should always cause you to feel good on the inside, but when you can do it for someone you once considered the enemy is true liberation.  I now know wholeheartedly what it means in the scripture when it says to pray for your enemies and those who despitefully use you.  Do yourself a great service today and get liberated….FORGIVE!

MISSING SOMETHING?

My heart aches as I see so many searching to fill that void within.  You know the void of loneliness.  The void of LOVE.  It seems to be even harder for us women because we are designed to be nurturers and we long to have someone that needs us and that we can care for.  Whether you are young or seasoned there is something gratifying and satisfying about nurturing.  All of these feelings are normal; however, it is at this point that the enemy can sneak in with deceiving thoughts and actions.  He begins to whisper lies and negative thoughts in your ear and sends counterfeits into your life to make you settle.  See, at this point he knows you are lonely and he knows what you like, so he sends you a prototype of what you want instead of what you need.  Yes, it is HARD out here in the dating world when you desire a husband or a wife.  Boy do I know. But I have decided to do what the WORD tells me…..Seek God first and all those things will be added.  If you are like me you have probably been seeking things out of order.  See, when you seek the things first then you may get the things but you are then seeking God to fix the things you went out and retrieved instead of waiting on HIS perfect timing.  God knows what we need and in His time He will send us that husband or wife that fits perfectly into His plan.  Remember, it was His words that stated that, “It is not good that man should be alone, I will make Him a HELP-MEET!” Continue to seek HIM first and watch LOVE catch you when you least expect it!

Who's Your Accountability Partner?

8/19/2013

Picture
Remember when you were growing up and you had that one best friend that you could always go to for anything.  That person would listen to you confess your deepest secrets.  They would tell you if they thought something was wrong or right and give you the biggest praise when you excelled in something.

I have often told my children that real friends don’t agree with everything that you do or say.  If someone is in agreement with you at all times no matter right or wrong or consequences then they aren’t your true friends.  A true friend will correct you when you are wrong and be there to help steer you in the right direction.  In the faith world, we call them accountability partners.

Every person needs an accountability partner; Someone that you can call when you are tempted into committing a sinful act that can help you; Someone that you can confess your sins to without being judged and they will pray with you as you confess them to the Father and ask for forgiveness.  An accountability partner will help sharpen you, just as the Bible speaks of iron sharpening iron.  They will help you regain your strength when you are weak and be there for you when you need a shoulder to cry on.  They will point out to you the things in your life that you are doing wrong and where you need improvement, but most of all they will be our biggest cheerleader when we have overcome a battle or obstacle.

You may be saying that you don’t need that type of person in your life and that you the Messiah is your accountability partner and that is wonderful.  However, the word tells us in James 5:16 “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” This powerful verse tells us that there is healing in confessing to other believers.  It’s not easy sharing our secrets with someone and even harder is finding someone we can trust.  However, once we let our pride go and trust in God to send us the person in our lives we need, then we will find ourselves becoming more honest not only with God, but with ourselves and others.

Love and Blessings,

Lady Monica
