Drive me out of myself, take possession of my mind Father, think your thoughts through my mind. This is what we need to speak daily. Decide to live focused on God's presence! Do you have double vision? See others not as they are, but as God sees them. If you need help problem solving you'll think more clearly by including God. Have you ever thought of this? If you are alone at mealtime put an extra chair at the table to remind you He's always with you. Place a scripture where you'll see it as you're falling asleep and waking up. Believe it, marinate on it and this will set the tone for your day. The NLB paraphrases the Psalmist's words: "I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me" (Ps 16:8). What you focus on becomes the dominant influence in your life. No matter what you gain in life, money, cars, fame, mansions, elite friends and the best of the best it fails in comparison to relying totally upon God and your relationship with Him.
