It's time for pruning

2/3/2015

Pruning trees and flowers for new growth is sometimes a very painful experience.  Afterall, you get stuck by thorns, cut by weeds and possibly come into contact with poison ivy or sumac.  But, if you want that tree to flourish and grow and those flowers to bloom you MUST get rid of the weeds that are prohibiting growth.

This is what it is like when you are weeding out people in your life.  People that were in your circle that you thought had your back, but you later find out were only there to choke the life right out of you.  It may be painful to cut them off and pluck them out, but in order to grow you MUST get rid of them.

And, be very careful because some of those weeds can disguise themselves quite well.  They actually begin to look like part of the plant.  See, they may start to resemble you by association and this is when your gift of discernment needs to kick in.  Study the seed and recognize the weed.

It's time to GROW....Happy Weeding.  Love and Blessings ~ Lady Monica

As I reflect over the past year there are many things to be thankful for including you. I thank YAHWEH for salvation and the gift of His precious son whom sacrificed His life and died that we may live.

Resolutions are none for me; for I resolve to live each day as an opportunity to grow, learn, live and love for Our Father.

My prayer for you is that Yah will empower you with knowledge and compassion to be a powerful soldier in the army for our Lord. I bid you good health, prosperity and love in this year of 2015.

I love you.

When you recognize who and whose you are you will see yourself as the beautiful person God created. He created us each unique in our own way. He looked at His creation and said "It is good." Therefore, who are you to call God a liar and call yourself ugly, fat, skinny or unworthy? Lady Monica Kaye wants you to tune out what society calls beautiful and tune into and believe you are who God says you are! His stamp of approval is all over you!

LOOK BEYOND THE NATURAL EYE

If you could just stop for a moment, sit back, relax your mind and fine tune into the voice of God you will be able to see far beyond the scope of your current circumstance(s). If you can think it, you can see it. If you can see it, you can believe it. If you can believe it, you can achieve it. Look beyond what the human eye sees. Look within the spirit and you will see things working out in your favor if you are consistent with faith without wavering. Rebuke all negative energy. That includes but not limited to friends, family, co-workers, etc. Stay focused on the promises of God. Remain quiet and focused for yet a little while longer and see the tangible manifestation of those dreams you now see in the spirit! ~ LadyMonica Kaye.

He/She comes at an opportune time when you may be or they think you may be vulnerable. Whispering all the things in your ear that you long to hear. Please stay prayed up and seeking the Father so you may recognize the hiss of the snake rather than the kiss of the lamb. Counterfeits are made to resemble the real thing and unless you know the DESIGNER you won't recognize the fake ~ Lady Monica

Are you carrying dead weight?

7/20/2014

How many of you are carrying dead weight?

Matthew 11:30 says "For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light."

It's time to get rid of the dead weight in your life. Why are you carrying that which you are not able? That which weighs you down and leaves you unable to do that which God has designed you to do. Dead weight can be friends, family, material things, careers, ungodly things, etc. Dead weight stops you in your tracks. It sinks you deeper into the quick sand. Today you can grab the yoke of Jesus. It's time to shed the dead weight and burst out with renewed strength and energy. Let nothing nor no one hinder you from achieving greatness. It's time that you bury the DEAD weight and obtain freedom.

Trusting God

5/21/2014

Recently I traveled to Florida for my birthday.  I encountered bad weather while traveling and was delayed at the OIA for 2 hours upon arrival because the gateway was closed due to inclement weather.  The airline could not take the chance of allowing their staff to work during the lightening so no one could retrieve their luggage until the gateway reopened.

When I flew back home to Georgia, I again was delayed for an additional 45 minutes upon arrival because the door to the aircraft would not open.

Through each of these ordeals, I trusted the airline staff and technicians to handle what was needed to rectify the problem; and they did.  But, I started to think,  how wonderful it would be if we could put as much trust in Our Creator (GOD) as we do in mankind.  Do you have any idea the awesome wonders and miracles that would begin to  unfold in our lives?  On top of that, I am sure that this would make Our Father extremely proud to call us HIS children.

Do yourself a favor today....TRUST GOD instead of man.

Love and Blessings,

GOD LOVES YOU!

The Bible says, "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life"

The problem is that all of us have done, said or thought things that are wrong. This is called sin, and our sins have separated us from God. The Bible says “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” God is perfect and holy, and our sins separate us from God forever. The Bible says “The wages of sin is death.”

The good news is that, about 2,000 years ago, God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. Jesus is the Son of God. He lived a sinless life and then died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. “God demonstrates His own love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.”

Jesus rose from the dead and now He lives in heaven with God His Father. He offers us the gift of eternal life -- of living forever with Him in heaven if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me."

God reaches out in love to you and wants you to be His child. "As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe on His name." You can choose to ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and come in to your life as your Lord and Savior.

If you want to accept Christ as your Savior and turn from your sins, you can ask Him to be your Savior and Lord by praying a prayer like this:

"Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I am a sinner and I repent of all of my sins. I ask you into my life that I may have the gift of eternal life. Please come into my heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve you and only you and I know that my life will never be the same in the name of Jesus. Amen"

Overcoming Obstacles

3/18/2014

As an African American female I would be remiss if I didn't express the need for positive mentors and role models for our young girls and ladies. Fortunately, I was raised by my grandmother and she instilled in me morals and values and for that I am eternally grateful. When I was growing up it was okay to have R&B singers and even some rap artists as role models, because they delivered positive messages. Times have changed and now the messages are geared towards sex, drugs and lies. I find it very disheartening when I see on the news that Kindergartners are caught in sexual acts. Is it beyond hope? No we can overcome these obstacles and the snares laid out for us by by those who underestimate our ability based on the color of our skin. We must remain positive and surround ourselves by those who believe in us. We must have a strong faith based relationship with God. We must learn what to retain in the mind and what debris to let totally pass through. We must never give up or give in to the lies, perception or negative attitudes of others. Persevere, persevere, persevere!!!! As sure as there are people out there that will say you can't or won't, there are many that will be there to support you financially, mentally and corporately. Remember failure only comes when you give up. Let me be your biggest fan by saying no matter what background you came from, no matter what race you are "You can do whatever you put your mind to. It may not be easy, but you can do it!"

Bishop T.D. Jakes - 4 mistakes that keep you from finding your purpose

3/3/2014

Picture
This week I am happy to share with you Bishop Jakes Blog on Living on Purpose.  I think we all can benefit from this.

Love and Blessings ~ Lady Monica

Living on purpose, as I define it, is to become aware that we were all created to serve some specific function in life. Some of these purposes might be lofty, attracting the accolades of the world. Some of these purposes may be down-to-earth, such as raising a child, teaching or engaging in some other activity that may not be as acknowledged by society but is still significant.

The pursuit of your life is to come into that purpose. And the waste of your life is to miss that purpose. The problem, though, for most of us is discovering what our purpose is. Here are a few mistakes we make while looking for it, ones that can distract or misdirect us.

1. The "But I Love It" Mistake
For a few years, I was involved in music. I was a choir director, and I played the piano. I noticed that when our choir got ready to sing, people got more blessed out of me introducing the song and talking about the song than they did from the song itself. Gradually I began to realize that the tail was wagging the dog. I love music to this day, and I have a fairly good understanding of music and theory and how they operate. But that's not why I'm here on earth.

Just because you admire something doesn't mean it's your purpose. Don't let yourself be distracted by something that should be a hobby. If you, like me, enjoy music, that doesn't necessarily mean you should be the one directing the song. Buy some CDs or enjoy music on your headset, just don't let it take your focus.

2. The "But That Drives Me Crazy" Mistake
Usually, when things drive us crazy, we're taught to walk away or ignore them. But sometimes it can help to take a closer look. For example, if somebody does something incorrectly, and their error drives us crazy, we shouldn't criticize the person—we should look at what our inability to tolerate their error can show us. What you cannot stand to see done badly is exactly where you ought to work. If you can't stand it when the church programs are done incorrectly or when the invitations are not sent out in time—if you want things in order—maybe you should consider working in an area of administration.

Other people might not even be bothered by these things, but your inability to put up with anything less than excellence means that you have an interest there. You need to recognize, "This is an area I have passion about."

3. The "But My Dad Told Me to..." Mistake
Sometimes your purpose may be totally opposite to the preparation of your life. It may be that you got a degree in one thing, but it's not fulfilling to you because it's not the thing that you were really created to do. It may be that your family and friends have misdirected you to where they have a need. So your education, your background, your circumstances, your job end up restricting you from finding your fulfillment.

This happened to me. My father owned a janitorial service, and it was his dream for us to own another family business together. As an adult, my brother started a windows-and-siding company and invited me to be a part of the it, but when I tried to twist myself into what my family wanted me to be, the business ultimately failed. I had substituted everyone's happiness for my own, trying to live up to my brother's dreams because I loved him and trying to live up to my father's expectations. But in reality, my purpose was in a completely different arena than anything they could have imagined.

This happens to so many of us. Every day at work, you might be like Jonah in the story in Bible, right when the ship hits a storm. Jonah knew, "I'm really going in the wrong direction. I'm going into the mouth of a whale." You know the exact same thing. You have to have the courage to withstand other people's opinions and ideas and to flow into your own purpose.

4. The "Do Something—Anything" Mistake
The lives we lead do not always lend time for inner reflection. We're so busy that we don't make space for prayer, for mediation. We don't really examine. We throw ourselves into this busy-ness so deeply that we don't take the time to pause for even a Sabbath, if you will.

Everything else in creation has a Sabbath—a winter, a season of not being fruitful. But we're afraid of this. Look at fruit trees: They give up the winter for the spring. It's not healthy for livestock to produce all year long. We're so busy spitting out project after project after project that we don't give ourselves a chance to heal and restore and reflect and really find our internal heartbeat.

It can be hard at first to identify that internal heartbeat, but recognizing it determines what will give you fulfillment and gratification. Think of it as an inward applause for every moment where you feel in harmony with yourself, and when you hear it—be it loud and clear or soft and slightly muffled—you'll know exactly what it is and what you're meant to do.

Life's Super Bowl

2/3/2014

I’m sure that most of you saw the Super Bowl last night.  What a sad game.  Denver fans were surely disappointed.  For a team that played so well during the season and then get down to the biggest game of their career and play like they’d given up, it didn’t sit so well.

That’s how life is sometimes.  We pray, fast and proclaim the Word of God and when it gets down to being a prayer away from our blessing, we give up.  Everything that we have done in the past somehow becomes a shadow of a memory.  It’s like we forget what to do.  At that point, we have given in to the opponent.  We have let the enemy take control and run.

Let us not grow weary in doing what we know.  We must continue implementing all the plays of life when it comes to seeking God, serving God and expecting a miracle.  Don’t let your blessing be intercepted by the devil.

Love and Blessings,

Lady Monica

PILLOW TALK

1/27/2014

My definition of “Pillow Talk “is this – An intimate space of time that connects distant and not so distant individuals to a deeper, more meaningful connection.  It allows the two individual to synchronize heart and soul to connect as one in order to develop a stronger relationship and walk on one accord to fulfill their purpose in their relationship.

Ahhh….Pillow talk. I can remember lying in the bed talking to my boyfriend for hours upon hours at a time.  We’d be on the phone so long that sometimes one of us would fall asleep.  Many times I woke up with the telephone in my hand.  It didn’t matter; sometimes we were just talking about nothing in general and other times we didn’t speak at all.  It’s like you just knew they were there on the other end and you got comfort from knowing they were there listening to your rhythmic breathing. Yes, love.

And, then after you are married some of the most intimate conversations were held right there in the bed while you were lying on those pillows.  Intimacy at its highest peak accomplishing the unthinkable because you two were on one accord.

Pillow talk is not designed just for our spouse, but we need to have pillow talk with God.  I know that Yah has given me some of my greatest revelations and messages in the middle of the night.  There have been many nights that my pillow was soaked from the tears after engaging in pillow talk with The Father, but they are times that I wouldn’t trade for anything.  Get intimate with Him.  Let Him speak to the very core of your soul.  You will be surprised at what He reveals in the midnight hour.  He desires to have that relationship with us.  Let us give Him intimate time.  Let us give Him what He deserves that we may receive our answers during our pillow talk conversations.

Love and Blessings ~ Lady Monica

Isaiah 55:11 – “so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to m empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”
