When you can't hear HIS voice

Sometimes we feel as if God has abandoned us.  We pray and fast and pray and fast and nothing seems to happen.  We seek Him to hear His voice, but nothing.  “Why can’t I hear God’s voice?” one may ask.  Well, there are times when we all experience this.  The thing to remember is God will NEVER leave nor forsake us and HIS sheep recognize HIS voice.  Now, let me break this down for you.  We may not be hearing HIS voice because we are too busy drowning it out.  Our voice may be louder than His. We also may be listening to the voice of others instead of His.  How often do we run to friends for advice instead of waiting patiently on God’s answer?  Or how many of us are guilty of this, GOD gives us the answer, we don’t like it so we refuse to hear? Ahh yes, that darn EGO has gotten in the way again.  And last, we may not recognize HIS voice.  If someone you knew were calling you in a crowd of thousands it’s a great possibility that you wouldn’t recognize WHO it was that called you; the same thing happens with God. So, instead of thinking that God has left us, let us reevaluate our own life and weed out that which is suffocating the voice of God.  Let us be still, silent, meditate and seek Him that we may hear and understand the only voice that matters. HIS.

Blessings, Lady Monica

I see myself in that seem situation you sketched. The last situation I first talked to God. But I had to wait, and I couldn't. I was impatient and devastated. I had to talk to 2 persons, a MOG and a WOG.
The WOG told me to act. The MOG did not answer because he ought to seek God first to tell me something. I prayed again. I grieved. Suddenly there was this voice telling me to act. I thought I was going crazy: "act... Act.. Act... Act... You will have victory.." I did not know where to turn. Non of the 2 were suddenly available. So I acted.
After doing, that same voice said "... Look at David, he prayed, obeyed and had victory..."
And yes, I had victory.
I praise The Lord for that...
