The Road Sometimes Gets Lonely

You may notice that in your walk with Christ or position of leadership that there are periods of lonliness.  You may feel discouraged as if what  you are doing is not effective.  Nobody is listening.  Nobody seems to care.  Nobody wants to hear about God and what He is doing in your life or the life of others.  You begin to think, you should just throw in the towel.  I AM HERE TO TELL YOU TODAY that I am sure that Jesus felt that way too. Rejected by His own people, lied on, lied to, unwanted, falsely accused, whipped, beaten, spat on and eventually nailed to a cross which He had to carry....My My My....and when He was hanging on that cross He took on EVERY sin that ever was and ever would be a part of this world, at that very moment GOD had to leave Him, because GOD cannot be a part of sin.  At  that time He cried out, "My God, My God...why hast thou forsaken me?" (Matthew 27:46).  In those awful moments, Jesus was expressing His feelings of abandonment as God placed the sins of the world on Him and because of that had to “turn away” from Jesus.  He was experiencing separation from God for the only time in all of eternity. It was at this time that prophesy was fulfilled . (2 Corinthinans 5:21).

So therefore, know that even in your lonliness or feelings of abandonment there is a purpose.  Those times are needed to help you get where you need to be.  It is only for a season.  Be encouraged.  If  only one person hears your word then your work is not in vain.  Sometimes, you even have to encourage yourself.

Have a blessed week.
